San Serriffe online platform
2020 (project ongoing) art and design book shop web platform, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
initiator of project, concept design, layout design, documentation
San Serriffe is an art and design book shop located in the Red Light District in Amsterdam.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic situations, the events programming and platform for publishing has not been (like so many other spaces) able to run at full capacity for the past year. This makes it evident how much the space and program has been integral to the network and audience of San Serriffe over the years. So for future proofing the San Serriffe project, an online platform for potential to host events, make available publication selections as well as the network and archive of projects is unavoidably necessary.
I designed a structure in which all publications are linked with keywords so every subject, author, editor, artist, designer, contributor can be found in the index listings of the web platform.
In the coming season it will be possible to host video lectures for talks and book launches as well as show video works from artists on the platform.
The structure provides room for the platform to grow more into editorial content and host voices of collaborators and contributors within the San Serriffe audience network and further.
Please note: web platform has been designed keeping in mind accessibility for all.
Launch of project April 30th 2021.

HTSU Price
(Overture)(mantras for a club)
December 2019
Commissioned work by: How to Show Up (Elisabeth Klement, Annie Goodner, Gianmaria Andreetta, Elizabeth Graham)
Marking the end of a 3-week residency at PAM in Los Angeles, Overture (Mantras for a club) is the starting point for a new series
of listening situations where embodiment, sound, and voice embrace a constant state of trial and error. Stuck in the theatricality
of domestic and emotional spaces, singing individuals explore their states of exposure and offer a testing ground for flatness
and artificiality. Through physical repetition, this intimate setting opens an imaginary journey and initiates the first steps into
a reflection on collectivity, interiority, and inter-subjectivity.
PRICE is the name behind a fictional character developed by artist Mathias Ringgenberg in a number of hybrid musical
and performative works. In residence with HTSU? this process continued to unfold in a situational performance by PRICE
with Stefan Govaart and Ivan Cheng.

Through the years, Breure & Van Hulzen collected various types of everyday gestures. This performative publication brings together a selection of ‘gestures of doing nothing’. It is based on a script for eleven performers who are standing, leaning, hanging, smoking, gazing, fumbling with a cell phone. ‘Hanging around’ is something you do with people you feel familiar with. Therefore the performers are people with whom the artists have worked before, family, and friends. Each actor was bound to a specific room and photographed in that setting.
